Singeli Movement

Wamoto Music is an all-female Tanzanian group shaking up the music scene with their electrifying blend of Singeli and traditional rhythms. Formed through the Uswazi Born Talented (UBT) program, the group’s three talented members—singers and a DJ—use their platform to empower women and inspire young girls from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Known for their high-energy performances and innovative sound, Wamoto has become a symbol of resilience and empowerment, captivating audiences with music that celebrates Tanzanian culture, unity, and the experiences of women.

With performances at prestigious events like International Women's Day at the White House (2024), Africolor in Paris (2023), and Singeli Fest, Wamoto is cementing their status as global trailblazers while continuing to inspire future generations.
